DH7-158 General Purpose Contact Adhesive

Ruscoe’s DH7-158 is a solvent-based contact adhesive for bonding a variety of materials including metals, glass, fabric, leather, vinyl and other substrates. DH7-158 is particularly suited for applications where heat, oil, gasoline and plasticizer resistance is important. DH7-158 can be heat cured to provide an even stronger bond.

Substrates should be free of dirt, moisture, oils and other contaminates. Clean the substrates with the appropriate detergent or solvent and rinse and allow to dry before bonding. Apply DH7-158 to both surfaces to be bonded. Allow adhesive to dry to the touch for approximately 10-30 minutes. Apply firm and even pressure to ensure contact between bonding surfaces. For additional heat and chemical resistance, DH7-158 can be cured at 250-350°F (121-177°C) for 30-45 minutes. 50-300 psi continuous pressure applied to the bond area is recommended during heat curing.

DH7-158 is flammable and should be stored below 100°F (37.7°C) in tightly sealed containers away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks or other potential sources of ignition. Shelf life is 12 months from date of manufacture when stored appropriately. See Safety Data Sheet for more information on storage and disposal.
