10038 Clear PVC Cut Edge Sealant LVOC

Ruscoe’s 10038 PVC Clear Cut Edge Sealant LVOC is an optional treatment used for sealing cut edges of PVC and PVC KEE membrane where scrim reinforcement is exposed.

SUGGESTED USES
Used to seal cut edges of PVC OR PVC KEE membrane used in single-ply roofing applications.

Membrane surfaces must be free of moisture, oils, dirt, and other contaminates. Ruscoe recommends the use of our low VOC Membrane Cleaner be used prior to sealing the cut edges. Shake bottle well prior to using. Sealant can be used at 20°F and rising if blushing is not present.

  1. Allow the welded seam to cool prior to application of sealant. The seam should be cool to the touch.
  2. Clean seam area with membrane cleaner.
  3. Trim the tip of the yorker nozzle to provide approximately a 1/8” (3.2 mm) opening.
  4. Apply an approximate 1/8” to 1/4” (3.2mm to 6.4mm) diameter bead of sealant to all exposed cut edges of PVC membrane with exposed reinforcement.

Sealant is provided in 16oz Plastic bottles with yorker spouts which allow the user to adjust the bead width and assist in ease of application onto cut edges after they are heat welded.

Coverage Rate:
1/8” (3.2 mm) diameter bead: 1,500 ft/gal (121 m/L)
1/4” (6.4 mm) diameter bead: 400 ft/gal (32 m/L)
